The BLTC 2.4 is designed to automatically override switches, dimmers, photocells, and other devices used to switch lighting loads.  Nine 24 incorporated all pertinent code requirements from NEC, NFPA, and UL along with requests from local code enforcement officials through out the country to provide a universally accepted product.  The design of the BLTC 2.4 integrates the answers to many of the questions posed to the engineering community about previous devices and simplifies installation for the electrical contractor.

The Fire Alarm / Security Interface option allows BLTC units to be actuated by the building fire alarm system or security system in the event of an emergency condition (fire, storm, security breech, etc.) The FAI option will also cause the emergency fixtures controlled by the BLTC to illuminate during fire alarm testing. The BLTC will energize the emergency lighting fixtures controlled during a loss of normal power no matter what the state of the fire alarm system or interface.

Why This Feature
Building system, weather, or security related problems can cause the fire/security alarm to sound without a power failure. Firefighters have found higher lighting levels in smoke filled rooms reduce the occupant¹s disorientation allowing them to exit the building quickly during an emergency. With the FAI, there will always be the highest emergency lighting levels possible when the alarm sounds. The Fire alarm and/or security panel must supply a 24 volt contact closure to the BLTC to enable this option.

Emergency Sports Pack is designed to provide automatic lighting when utility power is interrupted. The unit utilizes 35 watt metal halide lamp and ballast technologies combined with a unit inverter to provide 90 minutes of lighting. The unit provides a broad lighting distribution to cover bleachers at sporting events allowing spectators to leave safely. An integral strip heater is incorporated in the wet location listed inverter to keep it operational in all weather conditions. An integral test switch and LED indicator are incorporated in all units for testing.

The Imagilume is a recessed grid or flanged LED luminaire used for ambient illumination in MRI facilities. The fixture provides ambient lighting while illuminating silk screened art of the owner’s choosing.
